WHO IS ALISYA RAE?
Naarm/Melbourne based and internationally raised, Alisya Rae [a-lee-sha ray] is in a lane of her own creating soul-driven R&B paired with her smooth, nostalgic vocals. After years abroad in London, Qatar, the Netherlands and Texas, she returns to her birthplace, determined to bring her unique sound to the Australian music scene. Highly active in the gig scene, her band has graced the stages of notable venues such as the Nightcat and the Espy Gershwin Bandroom. Alisya reflects on heartbreak with an empowering edge through driving beats and soulful melodies, sung by her “big vocal range that demands attention and once that chorus kicks in, you’ll be dancing/singing like your soul depends on it” (Claire Mooney, Triple J).
